1956 Marx, Lumar Contractors Earth Hauler in Original Box
Superb brilliant orange, heavy duty pressed steel Lumar Contractors Earth Hauler by Marx. Never played with complete with original two piece box. Baked on enamel finish throughout. Features swivel mounted cab with rear dump hauler. Release lever with connecting rods behind the cab allows dirt to spill through two drop down doors for "even distribution of earth". Includes plastic operators seat, dashboard, controllers and rubber exhaust stack. Four heavy tread tires are solid rubber with steel hubs. Includes most of its original "Earth Hauler" and "Contractor" decals. Original two piece box with plain red text. Original Sears retail price was $2.89. Size: 18½". Sold: Nov. 2005
